School Architecture & Design

Cuningham Group has a distinguished history of creating high quality design solutions for learning and has been an instrumental leader in the change of school architecture both in the k-12 and post secondary markets. We accomplish this by understanding best practices in teaching and learning and interpreting them as form givers that shape architectural responses unique to a given community.

We are recognized as international leaders in school planning and design with a strong focus on sustainability and green design, inclusive planning and award-winning design. Our Vision-Based Planning™ process is an academically focused planning program that uses the vision for learning to guide the architectural design, balanced with the values of the community. This allows diverse groups such as architects and K-12 schools, middle schools, high schools or colleges to better work together, resulting in creative learning environments that reinforce the desired academic outcomes of the school and community within the budget and schedule established for the project.
